The national economy is undergoing significant changes due to the major projects initiated by His Majesty, may God assist him. The political and social stability enjoyed by the Kingdom has encouraged foreign investors to create major industrial projects in the fields of Aeronautics, Automobiles, Renewable Energies, Transportation Infrastructure, and Logistics.

To support this development, the Ministry of Equipment, Transportation, Logistics, and Water (METLE) has established a Logistics and Transportation department within the Hassania School of Public Works. This initiative is monumental and aligns with METLE’s commitments to the national strategy for developing logistical competitiveness.

This department offers the Logistics and Transportation Engineering program (GLT) to meet the needs of industries, companies, agencies, and public institutions operating in the fields of transportation and logistics.

It is an initial training program distinguished by the EHTP label.

The GLT program is based on an Anglo-Saxon pedagogical approach that combines theoretical learning with empirical validations simultaneously. This approach significantly promotes knowledge acquisition, the development of analytical thinking, and critical analysis.

The multidisciplinary teaching team consists of:

  • A core group of permanent teacher-researchers recognized for their academic experiences and scientific contributions in the fields of transportation and logistics.
  • Part-time instructors, mainly composed of recognized professionals in their respective fields, associated with various knowledge acquisition methods, academic teaching, and real-world situations (case studies, company visits, simulations, etc.).

The training offered by the GLT program at EHTP aims to develop the following strengths in the engineering student:

  • Cross-disciplinary Engineering Knowledge: Acquiring transversal knowledge in engineering sciences that allows rapid adaptation to various environments (Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, networks, and telecommunications).

  • Specialized and Advanced Skills: Developing specialized and precise skills to manage, model, and optimize various processes in transportation and logistics.

  • Managerial Knowledge: Gaining managerial knowledge to better understand the competitive environment in which the company operates.

  • Linguistic and Communication Skills: Cultivating linguistic and communication skills to easily engage with the international context.

This training process will lead the graduate engineer from the GLT program at EHTP to:

  • Possess the Necessary Knowledge: Having the required technical and scientific knowledge to ensure employability throughout their career.

  • Master the Soft Skills: Acquiring the “Soft Skills” to strengthen their personal profile and be competent in assuming responsibilities.

  • Intervene in Logistics/Transport Processes: Being capable of participating in logistics/transport processes by designing, monitoring, or implementing a project in accordance with the mission of their institution, delivery schedules, stakeholders, environment, and financial constraints.

The reputation of EHTP, as well as its extensive network, facilitates the integration of its graduates.

Indeed, upon completion of their training, various career paths are available to the laureates of the logistics and transportation program, both in the private and public sectors. They can aspire to become:

  • Manager of Purchasing, Inventory Management, Transport, Production Planning, Sales Forecasting, etc., in companies.

  • Expert in a Consulting Firm in Logistic Management, Freight Forwarding, etc.

  • Manager for the development of new transport mode combinations for companies based on changes in regulations or the requirements of clients or investors.

  • Responsible for the design, planning, and study of various components of the logistics chain.

  • Working within stations; airports, ports, etc.

  • Manager in the Moroccan Federation of Transport; conducting technological and social monitoring, optimizing the integration of transport modes.

  • Working within the Ministry of Equipment, Transportation, Logistics, and Water, as well as different departments.

  • Working within public institutions and agencies (National Transport and Logistics Company SNTL, Moroccan Logistics Development Agency AMDL, National Road Safety Agency NARSA, Highways of Morocco ADM…).

  • Transport companies and major operators of transport networks: urban transport authorities, vehicle rental companies, passenger and freight transport companies, etc.
