Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Hassania School of Public Works

The Board of Directors of the Hassania School of Public Works (EHTP) convened on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in Rabat, under the chairmanship of Mr. Nizar BARAKA, Minister of Equipment and Water, and in the presence of the council members. The proceedings of this meeting were primarily focused on presenting the EHTP’s activities report for the year 2023 and approving the forecasted program for the year 2024.

The session began with the presentation of the opinion reports for the years 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 by the audit accountant.

Following this, Mr. Jaouad BOUTAHAR, the Director of EHTP, presented highlights and achievements of the school during the year 2023, outlining budget forecasts and flagship projects for 2023. He reported that in 2023, EHTP contributed to the job market dynamics by graduating 225 outstanding state engineers aligned with the socio-economic challenges of our country. For the academic year 2023-2024, the school has 881 engineering students distributed across 7 key sectors for the Moroccan economy and admitted 23 new doctoral candidates to its doctoral studies center in “engineering sciences and techniques.” He also presented the governance report of EHTP for 2022, detailing the efforts made by the school to enhance its governance and management.

The Board expressed satisfaction with the school’s activities in 2023, commending the efforts of all stakeholders to ensure the continuity of educational activities and progress in development projects. The Board of Directors also approved the budgets for the year 2024 as proposed by the school.

Subsequently, discussions were opened, and various members of the EHTP Board of Directors spoke to emphasize their commitment to supporting EHTP in its development and ambitious projects, addressing all challenges to ensure its excellence and international standing.

At the end of the proceedings, the presentations and discussions received congratulations from the Minister, who reaffirmed his support for the planned new projects and confirmed the Ministry’s backing to see them through to ensure the development and maintenance of EHTP’s national and international position. Finally, he expressed his gratitude to all members of the EHTP Board of Directors.

The conclusion of this session featured a reading of the Allegiance message addressed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, on behalf of all council members, teachers, and staff of the school, to HIS MAJESTY KING MOHAMMED VI, MAY GOD GLORIFY HIM.
