Engineering education
Engineering cycle
An outstanding player in higher education and research in its specific fields, EHTP (École Hassania des Travaux Publics) trains high-level State engineers capable of serving in both the public and private sectors.
EHTP offers 8 programs covering most major engineering disciplines. The school trains engineers in the fields of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering, Urban and Environmental Engineering, Meteorology, Geographic Information Science, Computer Engineering, and Logistics and Transportation Engineering.
Admission for engineering students in the first year of the engineering cycle at EHTP takes into account the number of available seats, their preferences, and their ranking in the competition:
- Common National Competition for candidates from preparatory classes (MP, PSI, and TSI streams).
- Parallel competition organized annually by the school for candidates holding:
- DEUG, DEUST, DEUP, or an equivalent degree in scientific or technical fields.
- Fundamental Studies License, Professional License, Science and Technology License, or an equivalent degree in EHTP’s training domains.
The training program at EHTP aims for a high level of skills and a broad understanding of the socio-economic environment. The distribution of courses is characterized by:
- In-depth and high-level teaching in basic sciences.
- Advanced scientific and technical training oriented towards the engineering profession.
- Project-based and on-field training from the first year.
- Integration of managerial, human, and social skills throughout the curriculum.
- Practice of languages and communication techniques.
- A cycle of conferences led by personalities from the political, cultural, and artistic worlds.
- Implementation of Personal Initiative Projects with a cultural, artistic, associative, social, or educational focus.
- Development of a business project (business plan) related to the student’s specialization.
- Completion of two internships in companies at the end of the 1st and 2nd years. These internships serve as a strong transition between the academic context and the professional life of the future engineer.
- Completion of a Final Year Project (PFE) in the last semester.
Educational architecture
The engineering cycle is a six-semester course leading to the EHTP state engineering diploma. The first five semesters are dedicated to teaching. The last semester is reserved for the Final Project (PFE).
An EHTP engineering course is a coherent set of 40 modules in one or more engineering and related disciplines, designed to provide the student engineer with specific knowledge, skills and competencies. Cultural and practical training are not included in the quota.
SEMESTRE | MODULES | TOTAL HOURS |
---|---|---|
Semester 1 | 8 teaching modules | 448 h |
Semester 2 | 8 teaching modules | 448 h |
Semester 3 | 8 teaching modules | 448 h |
Semester 4 | 8 teaching modules | 448 h |
Semester 5 | 8 teaching modules | 448 h |
Semester 6 | PFE |
Validation of the cultural project, internships and PFE is compulsory. The validation periods are as follows:
Project or internship | Validation period |
---|---|
Cultural project | Semester 2 |
Professional initiation course | Semester 3 |
Engineering internship | Semester 5 |
PFE | Semester 6 |
